UCF has done it again.

For the eighth time since 2017, UCF has released their SpaceU themed uniforms that they will use for one game and one game only this season.

Each uniform has been different and only worn once during the season. This is the eighth installment of the SpaceU uniforms, and each year, they somehow get better and better.

Each uniform has its own design and meaning behind it. For the Mission VIII uniforms, the theme is centered around the Moon and the mission NASA has to get humans back to the moon.

UCF owns the world's largest simulated lunar surface with its Regolith Bin in its Exolith Lab. This is a state-of-the-art research and testing facility that allows space companies, scientists, faculty, and students to test how moon dust affects hardware that powers space missions. This all relates back to NASA's Artemis program and their plan to get back to the Moon.

Each little detail of this uniform has meaning. The grain-like look of the uniform is meant to look like the moon dust that is the center point of the Moon studies. The constellation on the shoulder sleeve is the Pegasus constellation to represent UCF's vision of limitless possibilities.

There is a patch on the white pants that is the Mission VIII patch, representing the eighth different Space uniform. The stripe on the side of the pants is the visual of the boosters on the side of the Artemis program's SLS rocket.

UCF will debut these uniforms at home against Arizona on November 2nd, 2024 for their annual space-themed game where fans will come dressed in their best space outfits.
