It is officially game week, and while UCF fans are excited for college football to return, there is probably more excitement over the return of head coach Scott Frost. Frost returns to UCF after being away for nearly eight years, after he took the head coach position at Nebraska back in late 2017. UCF was sad to see Frost go as he had just led them to a perfect season and a proclaimed National Championship.

Now back in Orlando, Frost is again taking over a pretty beaten-up UCF football program is being expected to work some miracles to bring it back to life. This will not be an easy task as the world of college football has changed since 2016, and UCF has as well.

This will be UCF's third season in the Big 12, and they aren't expected to do much. After being projected to finish last in the conference, the Knights have a chance to surprise a lot of people this season, and it all starts in Week 1.

Weather in Orlando, FL

This time of year is always tough for UCF to play in Orlando, as the weather is so unpredictable. In years past, the Knights have either undergone multiple weather delays in their season opener or even cancellations due to hurricanes.

It is going to be a hot one come Thursday in Orlando with a high of 90 degrees and a low of 74 degrees. However, even though it is supposed to cool down a bit at night, the humidity will still be at 85% definitely making it hotter. The good news is that the chance for rain on Thursday is low, near 25%, but as Floridians know, that means it still very much could rain. So this will be something to keep an eye on because rainy conditions mean rough field conditions, but of course, UCF is pretty used to that.
