Dillon Gabriel has played a lot of college football, more than most, with six years of eligibility, the Hawaii native is officially moving on to the NFL. After played at three different schools, Gabriel will move on with a lot of playing experience and a lot from each place he played.

Gabriel's college football career definitely didn't end the way he would have liked, with an early exit in the College Football Playoff in the second round to Ohio State when Oregon was favored to win it all as the No. 1 ranked team, having not lost a game all season long. The Ducks got down big early and were never able to pull themselves out of it, cutting the Ducks National Championship run short.

With the college football season officially over and Gabriel out of eligibility, he has been invited and accepted to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl. In the Senior Bowl, players wear the jersey of their respected team but the helmet of the school they attended, if they went to multiple schools, they can choose to represent all of them as well.

Gabriel got his start, as all Knights fans know, at UCF, where he got his first ever college football start as a true freshman due to injuries to other quarterbacks, and from there on, he became a star in a Knights uniform. After three seasons and two head coaches, Gabriel chose to enter the transfer portal and landed at Oklahoma, where he spent two seasons, and then finally spent his final year of eligibility at Oregon.

At the Senior Bowl, it was released that Gabriel would represent each school he played at on his helmet, and UCF got a prime spot.

Gabriel was easily one of the greatest young quarterbacks to grace the UCF program as he was recruited by head coach Scott Frost, who has made his return to the Knights. UCF has always had a great recruiting program from Hawaii, even from across the country. Gabriel, in three years with UCF, finished his Knights career with 8,037 passing yards and 70 touchdown passes with just 14 interceptions. He was also an excellent runner, with 372 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns.

Gabirle played two full seasons at UCF, but his third season was cut short due to a collarbone injury he suffered against Louisville, and that was the last time UCF fans saw Gabriel in a Knights uniform. Even when he was healthy and able to come back, Gabriel did not return for the Knights but instead announced he was entering the transfer portal.

At times it felt like Gabriel forgot about his UCF roots, but after the college football season ended last week, Gabriel released a video highlighting his college football career, where he spoke very highly about his time with the Knights.

UCF and Knights Nation wish Gabriel the best in his future endeavors, whether that is in the NFL or in a coaching career, he certainly gave UCF some very memorable games and memories that Knights fans will never forget.
