Even after an all-around rough season in Orlando for the UCF Knights, there were still a few star seniors who were looking to make their way to the NFL this year. With pretty much all invites accepted at this point, UCF will have three players representing the Knights in the Reese's Senior Bowl.

Senior running back RJ Harvey, defensive back Mac McWilliams, and defensive back BJ Adams all accepted their invitation to play in the prestigious senior bowl that could help shape their path to the NFL.

What is the Reese's Senior Bowl?

The Reese's Senior Bowl is essentially a senior college football all-star game in which seniors from around the country and all different schools are invited to play and show out for NFL scouts and executives. This year marks 76 years since the first Senior Bowl was played in Mobile, Alabama. There will be roughly 900 NFL personnel at the game, representing all 32 teams.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, 110 players selected in the draft participated in the Reese's Senior Bowl, which represented 43% of the draft picks. The game is set to be played on Saturday, February 1 at 1:30 p.m. CT/2:30 p.m. EST at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.

Knights in the Reese's Senior Bowl

It was no surprise when Harvey got his invite to the Senior Bowl as he was one of the top running backs in the nation this year. Harvey ranked sixth in rushing yards with 1,577 and fourth in scoring with a total of 25 touchdowns, 22 rushing and three receiving. Harvey is going down as one of the best, if not the best, running back in UCF history, as he set the record for most rushing touchdowns by a Knight in program history.

Adams and McWilliams both played a struggling secondary that was one of the worst in the Big 12 in 2024. Adams dealt with injury throughout the season and finished with just 14 total tackles, nine solo tackles, two passes defended, and two interceptions.

McWilliams played his only season with the Knights in 2024 after transferring from UAB. He recorded 32 total tackles, 25 solo tackles, two passes defended, one sack, one forced fumble, and one interception on a young and struggling Knights defense.
