Update: Tayven Jackson has returned to from the locker room in warmup clothes and his left arm in a sling. His day is done and he will now has to watch from the sideline.
UCF and Kansas State are deep in the weeds, or you could say wheat, in Manhattan, but things have taken a turn for the worse for the Knights.
After taking a really hard hit on third down with about 10 minutes left in the second quarter, Jackson was taken immediately to the medical tent, which is never a good sign. Jackson came up gingerly, holding his left arm pretty close to his side.
The hit didn't look good on the replay in slow motion. Kansas State went three and out on its net drive, but during that drive, it was announced that Jackson was on the sideline with no pads on and heading to the locker room.
Going to the locker room that fast is never a good sign, and it it a safe bet to say that Jackson won't return to this game.
Oh man that did not look good for #UCF QB Tayven Jackson. Hit hard (clean). Didn’t look like he was moving that left arm at all. Went straight to the tent.

Immediate thought was that looked like Dillon Gabriel’s injury at Louisville
Will we see Brown or Fancher?
Jacurri Brown has come in at quarterback for the Knights and will most likely finish this game for UCF. Brown was a part of the carousel of quarterbacks under Gus Malzahn last season, so he has experience playing on the field.
This is a tough loss for UCF, as Jackson has really shone since taking over this UCF offense in the first game of the season. UCF has struggled against Kansas State's stout defense.
All the hope and prayers go towards Jackson that he is okay and it will not be a long term injury.
