For many of us growing up, playing the new Madden and NCAAF video games was a yearly tradition. Getting the game each year meant that we would get to play with our favorite players, see upgraded graphics, and maybe a few new mechanics, and it was another opportunity to make our favorite team a powerhouse.

While the last iteration had players like Blake Bortles, Storm Johnson, Breshad Perriman, and Rannell Hall, we have missed out on a lot of electric players who have worn the Black and Gold since then. Below I have compiled a list of the 10 Knights players I most wish to have played with in the editions of the game that were missed.

McKenzie Milton

No question, one of the most electric players in the history of the UCF Knights football program, and truly one of the athletes that started the upward trajectory that our program has built, McKenzie Milton would have brought a fast-paced style to the game and would have been great to have had the opportunity to finish his story in Orlando.

Shaqueem Griffin

Shaqueem Griffin was the heart and soul of our 2017 National Championship defense, and his story was just as impactful as his play. Flying around the field making game-changing plays, Griffin would have no doubt been a game-changer to have on your dynasty in a college football game and would be fun to have had the opportunity to build a defense around.

Otis Anderson Jr.

The late Otis Anderson Jr. was, during his time at UCF, an exciting playmaker. Otis was truly a do-it-all player, which is exactly the type of player that is fun to build a high-scoring offense around. He was someone who represented our team well both on and off the field and had an incredibly bright future before his tragic passing, and he was a player I am thankful to have had play for our team.

Javon Baker

We only missed having Baker in the game by one year, as he was drafted by the New England Patriots just this off-season, but what a dream it would have been to have had a one-on-one playmaker like him on the team. Baker plays with swagger, wins one-on-one balls, and was a matchup nightmare for DBs, he would have been a guy you could chuck the ball up to on a go route and just trust he was coming down with it when you needed him the most in-game.

John Rhys Plumlee

JRP was an absolutely dynamic athlete on the field for the Knights. Incredible mobility and the heart of a winner are the two biggest things that made him special at the position, and being able to scramble for 40 yards one play, and then toss it over the head of the defense on the next, would have been fun to run in an online head to head game.

Adrian Killins Jr

Even being clocked at a 4.37 40-yard dash, really doesn’t bring justice to the speed that Killins brought to the field in Orlando. During his career, Killins scored 33 offensive touchdowns and added one kick return to the house as well, he spent a lot of time putting points on the board and it was simply because no one could catch him. Speed like that would have been an insane weapon to capitalize on in the game!

Gabe Davis

Gabe Davis was a one-on-one go-getter during his time for the Knights. Everyone in the stadium knew the ball was coming to him and he still came down with it making play after play. Davis set the single-season school record for receiving yards, with over 1,200 in his junior year, and I think he would have been a beast if you could convince him to return for a senior year in your dynasty.

Tre’mon Morris-Brash

Known as Dolla Drop, Morris Brash would have given you a defensive player in the game that you could count on to pressure the quarterback and make game-changing plays every down, just like he did on the field. I truthfully feel like having him in your dynasty, you could have led the nation in sacks, he brought that type of ability to the field.

Isaiah Bowser

Running the “Wild Bowser” would be just one of the awesome effects Isaiah would have brought to the college football game. This back was an absolute bruiser, stiff arms, trucking, fighting for extra yards, he would have been impossible to stop in goal line packages.

Mike Hughes

Aside from being an absolute lockdown corner, with first-round NFL talent….. we all want to recreate the most prolific play in UCF football history, where Hughes took the kick back 95 yards, against our biggest rival, securing our undefeated season in 2017. Mike gave us an incredible moment and had a wonderful career, and being able to have him in the game would have been a huge win.

With all of this being said, I am hoping that some of these players will at least be included in college football’s version of the ultimate team(they have already hinted at the inclusion of the 2017 team), but I feel like we majorly missed getting to have these players as a part of our team throughout the years that the game was not in production. Let me know who I missed, and which Knights you wish you had gotten to build a team around in the College Football Videogame!
