Pack the Bounce House: The five largest crowds in UCF football history
UCF has had its own football stadium for less than 20 years, 17 years to be exact. FBC Mortgage Stadium, better known as the Bounce House to the fanbase opened in September 2007 holding its first game against the Texas Longhorns.
Right now, the Bounce House is set to seat a little over 44,000 people, but of course, they have had numbers over that as their biggest crowds. When the stadium was built, there were plans for it to be a three-deck stadium that would hold up to 65,000 seats.
Currently, the Bounce House has only two decks of majority bleacher seatings and two student sections. With more renovations set to begin soon, more seats can be added and the stadium will most likely expand even more with the school now being in the Big 12.
So looking back at the Bounce House's short past, what were the biggest crowds in football history? All of these games are regular games, they do not include postseason games.
This matchup between UCF and USF, better known as the War on I-4 matchup, is long-standing and heat rivalry. For a long time, USF dominated the series until a few years ago when UCF came roaring back to not just tie, but take the lead in the series.
Just one year after UCF opened the Bounce House, they had their biggest crowd ever with 46,805 people in attendance. Unfortunately, USF, who was ranked No. 17 at the time, won the game, but UCF would get their revenge later.
