Back in 2018, UCF had ESPN College Gameday come to campus for the first time ever for the Knights' matchup against Cincinnati, a ranked matchup at the time. That was also a matchup when both teams were in the American Athletic Conference.

Now, UCF is in the Big 12 and set to take on Colorado this week in Orlando. This isn't a ranked matchup, and ESPN College Gameday won't be in Orlando this weekend, but the Knights are still getting some recognition.

FOX Big Noon Kickoff, the other big pre-game coverage show, is heading to Orlando this weekend and will be set up on UCF's campus. Not only is this the first time Big Noon Kickoff will be at UCF, but this is the first time they are visiting a school in the state of Florida.

That is right; they haven't visited the other Florida schools such as UF, FSU, or Miami. They are choosing to make their Florida debut in the heart of the state, and at the best school in Florida, at UCF.

Big Noon Kickoff, however, chose an interesting weekend to make their Florida debut. The state of Florida is currently under a State of Emergency with Hurricane Helene. Currently, a Category 2 hurricane is making landfall in the state on Thursday. The storm should be out of the area by Saturday, but there will still be residual storms lingering even Saturday.

There is a possibility, depending on when exactly the storm hits and how badly it hits the Orlando area, that the game could get postponed to a later date. The biggest thing to look at is when Colorado is set to fly in for the game, with the storm affecting flights as well.

This will be the first time UCF and Colorado will face off in program history, let alone in the Big 12, with the Knights being the newcomers last season and the Buffaloes taking over that role this season. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, with Big Noon Kickoff set to begin at 10:00 a.m. EST on Memory Mall in the middle of UCF's campus.
