This ties more into the football team than anything else, but hey, a rivalry can grow from anything. UCF and Baylor don't have a lot of history when it comes to football, but the history they do have is big.

The first time the Knights and Bears faced off was back in 2014 for the Fiesta Bowl where the Knights were in no way favored to win. To everyone's surprise, quarterback Blake Bortles lead the Knights to a victory over the Bears 52-42 to capture the Knights's first-ever New Year's Six Bowl win.

Fast forward to 2023 when the Knights are playing their first ever Big 12 game at home and the Knights were up big. Baylor, unfortunately, came back and won the game forcing UCF to wait longer for their first Big 12 win.

Now that both teams have gotten a certain amount of revenge, this could be a fun rivalry to continue for both programs because of the history between them.
