Head football coach Gus Malzahn has been hot on the recruiting trail this year. With official visits going on in the month of June, the Knights are growing their 2025 recruitment class every day.
Malzahn has made UCF and Orlando the premiere places for players to choose for their college careers. Each year Malzahn has been at UCF, he has elevated the football program consistently bringing top four-star recruits and for the first time in program history, a few five-star recruits.
In the past four years since Malzahn took over the head coaching position, UCF has had recruiting classes ranked in the top 50 and even some of the top recruiting classes in the Big 12.
Now looking at the recruiting class of 2025, the Knights are already off to a hot start, and with June visits rolling, they are building the class every day. Here is every high school recruit who has committed to UCF so far.
RB Taevion Swint
Taevion Swint committed to UCF all the way back in April of 2023 making him the first commit of the 2025 class. Swint is a hometown recruit coming out of Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida. Swint as a four-star recruit received offers from many power conference schools such as Ole Miss, Auburn, Colorado, and UCF's biggest competition, Florida.
OT Jaquez Joiner
Jaquez Joiner committed to UCF also back in 2023 in September. He was UCF's first three-star recruit coming in as an offensive tackle. Another Florida native, Joiner comes from Cocoa High School. He received offers from Indiana, Marshall, Rhode Island, and in-state rival USF.
WR Santonyo Isaac
Santonyo Isaac is a wide receiver out of Tampa Bay Tech. Isaac committed to the Knights back in December of 2023 as a three-star recruit. Isaac received a multitude of offers, some from big programs such as Alabama and Auburn, and even a few smaller programs such as Boston College and Charlotte.
ATH Kendarius Reddick
Kendarisu Reddick was the first to commit to UCF in 2024 coming in as a four-star athlete out of Thomasville County Central in Thomasville, Georgia. Reddick chose UCF over numerous successful programs such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, and Charlotte.
S Tony Williams
Tony Williams is one of three defensive commits of the 2025 class as a four-star safety. Williams is another Florida player choosing to stay close to home coming from Palm Beach Central in West Palm Beach, Florida. UCF's biggest recruiting competition was fellow in-state school Florida State which made an offer to Williams along with Akron, Arkansas, and Bowling Green.
ATH Demarcus Gardner
Demarcus Gardner is a three-star athlete who has committed to UCF, but he is still taking visits to other schools. While he is a hard commit to UCF, still had an official visit with Kentucky in the month of June along with his one at UCF early in the month.
DL RyShawn Perry
RyShawn Perry is another defensive recruit for UCF, coming in as a three-star defensive lineman. Perry only had one official visit so far and that was to Arkansas, but according to 247Sports, his interest is cool at best. Perry is a hard commit to UCF from Newton High School in Covington, Georgia.
TE Caden Piening
As UCF's lone tight end commit so far for the 2025 class, Caden Piening will head to UCF as a three-star recruit out of Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Piening received offers from Akron, Arkansas, Ball State, and Boston College.
LB Malakhi Boone
Malakhi Boone is another in-state recruit coming from South Sumter High School in Bushnell, Florida as a three-star linebacker. UCF is the biggest program to offer Boone as he had a lot of interest from out-of-state schools such as Akron, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, and UConn.
IOL Gavin Blanchard
As UCF's latest transfer, Gavin Blanchard has made it known that the Knights were truly his only choice. Blanchard's only official June visit was to UCF where he made his choice to commit to the Knights. The four-star interior offensive lineman received offers from Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisville, and Middle Tennessee State.
