This one might surprise a few people, but Kansas State is easily the best team in the conference for 2024. Even though veteran quarterback Will Howard transferred to Ohio State, former five-star recruit Avery Johnson is waiting in the wings to take over this team.

Fans got a small glimpse of what Johnson could do throughout the season, but his true talent came out in the Pop-Tarts Bowl where Johnson helped lead the Wildcats to victory and even won MVP of the game. The transfer class is not one to rave about, but the transfer of Colorado running back Dylan Edwards is probably the most exciting for K-State, especially with his and Johnson's past together.

The Wildcats have a big question mark on the defense, which struggled in big moments last season, but if they can clean up their defensive play, Kansas State is on their way to another Big 12 title.
