Believe it or not, UCF football has never played these FBS teams

UCF football vs. Sun Belt Conference

A lot of teams in the Sun-Belt are younger programs, or programs that have only been in the FBS for a few seasons. UCF has played quite a few of them, but once they are really young are still waiting to get on the Knights' schedule.

Appalachian State Mountaineers: The Mountaineers only started playing football in the FBS in 2014, so they are still a relatively younger program and it could be a big factor in why UCF has not played them yet. Give them time and this could be a good matchup.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers: Like Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina is a young program that has been playing football since 2003 and joined the FBS in 2017. With some of the success the Chanticleers have had, this would be a fun matchup to see one day.

Old Dominion Monarchs: Like a lot of teams in the Sun-Belt, Old Dominion is a young team in the FBS, joining in 2015. Distance could be a small factor, but UCF has played teams father away.

Georgia State Panthers: This one is surprising with Georgia and Florida being on top of each other. UCF has played a lot of Georgia teams, so this matchup could be in the works in years to come.

South Alabama Jaguars: Like Georgia State, this is a matchup that could easily happen because of proximity. South Alabama may need to build up their resume a little bit, but could be a good non-conference game for the future.
